Catering in Noosa is something we’ve been doing since 2014 — hinterland weddings, Noosaville birthday parties, corporate events in Noosa Heads, and plenty of backyard gatherings in between. We cook real charcoal spit roast from scratch at your venue, handle everything from setup to cleanup, and leave you free to actually enjoy your event. If you’re looking for Noosa catering that’s fresh, properly cooked, and easy to organise, here’s what we do.
Why It Works in Noosa
Noosa clients tend to care about where their food comes from. In ten years of catering up here, that’s one thing we’ve noticed consistently. People ask about the meat — whether it’s local, how it’s farmed, whether it’s been pre-cooked somewhere and finished on-site. Those are good questions, and we’re happy to answer all of them.
Our meat is locally sourced and ethically farmed in Australia — free-range beef and lamb, and sow stall-free pork. And we cook it entirely from scratch at your venue over real charcoal, not in a commercial kitchen the day before. That’s not always the norm in the catering industry. It’s just how we do it.
The format suits Noosa events well, too. A spit roast is relaxed and social without being low-effort — it’s a proper meal, cooked properly, served in a way that lets people eat when they’re ready rather than when a schedule says so. Whether it’s a backyard garden in Noosaville, a hinterland property, or a function venue in Noosa Heads, the setup works.
Packages and Pricing
We have two packages — Budget and Premium. Both include full setup, cooking from scratch over charcoal, buffet service, leftovers packed into containers for you, and cleanup. The difference is in what’s on the table.
Budget Package
Our most booked option for Noosa events. You choose the rotisserie meat, and we serve it with classic cold sides — coleslaw, potato salad, Greek salad — plus bread rolls and condiments. The per-person price goes down as your guest count goes up:
| Guests | Inclusive (total) | Per person |
|---|---|---|
| 30 | $1,260 | $42 |
| 40 | $1,480 | $37 |
| 50 | $1,650 | $33 |
| 60 | $1,860 | $31 |
| 80 | $2,320 | $29 |
| 100 | $2,700 | $27 |
| 150 | $3,675 | $24.50 |
| 200+ | $22 p/p | — |
Plates and cutlery aren’t included in the Budget Package — we can add eco-friendly bamboo fibre sets for $0.70 per guest. See full Budget Package Prices & inclusions.
Premium Package — $38 per person
For events where you want the full spread — and for Noosa weddings and corporate functions, it’s usually the right call. On top of the Budget Package, you get a hot side (rosemary-roasted baby potatoes or charcoal-grilled corn cobbettes), a wider selection of fresh cold salads, butter with your bread rolls, and eco-friendly plates, cutlery, and napkins all included. Flat $38 per person, minimum 50 guests. See full Premium Package inclusions.
The Food
Three meat options: prime yearling beef rump, boneless leg of lamb, or boneless leg of pork. We use boneless cuts across the board — they cook evenly on the rotisserie with no undercooked sections and no wastage. What you see carved is what your guests eat.
The condiments are made fresh for each event. Our house-made chimichurri and chunky apple sauce are a step above anything from a jar — and they get used. Every time.
If anyone in your group has dietary requirements, let us know when you enquire. The rotisserie meats are naturally gluten-free, and most of our sides and condiments are too. We’ll go through the specifics with you so there are no surprises on the day.
How the Day Runs
We arrive four to five hours before your eating time. All we need is a flat outdoor space — roughly 5m x 3m — with some weather shelter nearby. The meat goes over real charcoal and cooks for two to three hours. We manage the coals, the rotation, and the timing. You don’t need to think about any of it.
We cook on charcoal only — not gas. It takes longer, but the result is different. The slow, even heat builds a crust on the outside of the meat that you can’t get from a gas grill or an oven. If you want the full explanation, we’ve written about it in our article on gas vs. charcoal spit roasts.
When the meat is ready, we carve and serve buffet-style. At the end of the event, leftovers go into containers and stay with you. Then we pack up and leave — workstation clean, nothing for you to deal with.
Events We Cater in Noosa
Weddings are our most common Noosa booking, and hinterland properties are our most common venue. There’s something about the setting up here that suits a spit roast — the space, the outdoors, the fact that nobody’s rushing anywhere. We’ve done a lot of them, and they’re consistently some of our favourite events to cater.
But it’s not just weddings. Corporate events, birthday parties, engagement parties, school functions, and plenty of casual backyard gatherings — the format works across all of them. If you’ve got guests, outdoor space, and a flat surface, we can make it work.
Our Service Area
We cover the full Noosa area — Noosa Heads, Noosaville, Noosa Junction, Tewantin, and the hinterland. Noosa is well within our regular Sunshine Coast run from Gympie to Caloundra, so there’s no extra travel cost to factor into your budget. If you’re not sure your location is covered, just ask.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you cater for events in Noosaville and the Noosa Hinterland?
Yes — regularly. Noosaville and the hinterland are two of our most common areas for Noosa bookings. Rural properties suit the format well. We just need a flat outdoor area of roughly 5m x 3m with some weather shelter available.
How much does catering in Noosa cost?
The Budget Package (Inclusive) starts at $42 per person for 30 guests and scales down as numbers grow — $33 per person at 50 guests, $27 at 100, and $22 per person for groups of 200 or more. The Premium Package is a flat $38 per person with a minimum of 50 guests. Both include full setup, cooking, service, and cleanup.
What’s the minimum number of guests?
Budget Package suits groups of around 30 guests or more. Premium has a minimum of 50. If you’ve got a smaller group, get in touch, and we’ll work out the best option for your numbers.
How far in advance do I need to book?
As early as you can — particularly over summer, the Christmas–New Year stretch, and long weekends when Noosa is busy. We take bookings well ahead of time for peak dates. If you’ve got a date in mind, don’t sit on it.
Do you handle all setup and cleanup?
Yes — both packages are fully managed. Setup, cooking, service, and cleanup are all on us. Leftovers are packed into containers and left with you before we leave.
